I hear that arizona is not going to require emmissions testing on cars that carry classic car insurance. Who here has some sort of classic car insurance fot stated value on their car? I have seen some companies have limitations like no nitrous systms or roll cages. I do not want to take out my nitrous just to get insurance. What are the good and the bad companys? Any Horror stories? I need to get this insurance so I can skip the emmissions testing and start driving my car again.
You can keep your nitrous and mods but you will have to go with modified insurance.I was with JC Taylor when I had my 70 boss clone with a 347.It cost more for modified insurace because they know you are at greater risk. But no insurace will cover you at the track.
HAGERTY! But remember that these classic car insurance companies require that you have another daily driver and sometimes have mileage limitations. I insure several cars with Hagerty and have had good luck, but I don't have any NOS either.
Hagerty...but they initially denied me because I told them I take it to the track. Reapplied a year later, told them I don't race, and they cover me. Cheap, too.
I checked out Hagerty but they won't cover cars with nitrous systems (which I got) or roll cages (which I will have someday). I checked out Classic Auto Ins. and for $20k value it is only $255 for 6 months, not bad I think.
Hmmmm........cheaper car insurance, registration, less DMV hassle, and get to enjoy driving my car.....or......spilling my guts like a buzzed teenage school girl about every discression......I mean every modification that has been made or that I "think I might make" on the application.......decisions, decisions. I need to go to bed. Worked all night and been up for about 22 hours. My judgement might be a little cloudy? Cleaver
I have Grundy. $1 per $100 value, no mileage limits and a discount for multiple cars. I've had the for about 20 years
