Basically, I am in dire need of 302 springs for up front. Ive seen pictures of 302s on 200 springs and i dont like it for my car! Can anybody send me some relatively inexpensive? -Todd
todd, what is it you don't like about the 6 cyl. springs? i put a 302 in my car and the front height did not change a bit. i was hoping for little drop. now i need to raise the rear. you might want to do the swap and then decide on the look you want. j.m.o...frank...
I have 6 cyl. springs in mine, but the interesting thing was when I changed to wheels that had more backspace the front end sat higher than with the stock wheels - less leverage working against the spring. You should try it first.
I sure hope it doesn't change the height. I really like the stance of my car the way it is now. I will wait till this weekend to see if I like the way it sits. You guys have 200 springs? not 250? Thanks for all the info and quick replies. -Todd
springs todd becareful new springs really brought my front end up,when i got the car, the front was weak and the 15 inch wheels rubbed when turning wheel.i bought new coils from espo springs.and this was the result.i have since put air shocks in back and it did the trick.
bobtackett are those sidepipes on your mav? I have been thinking about putting a set on my Comet but wasn't sure about the look. I LIKE IT. Sorry for being a little off topic. If you don't mind PM me with any info you can give on what size and where you got them and if you like them or not. Are they loud?
I tell you what, with all these mavericks sitting way, way up in the air it's amazing we don't see more of them flying around in the sky!!! I like em low myself!!! I do have a set of v-8 springs that have 1.5 coils cut out of them and they are currently bound up in a spring compressor.........
I am going to wait to see what it looks like with the 200 springs. Thanks for all the replies. -Todd ps i also like the sidepipes
