i was in a building for about 20 mins come out and there is a big blotch of teal paint all over my 72 grabber...(remember we just finished restoring it about a year ago...i used some of that turtle wax color shine and the chip stick, and some turtle wax rubbing and buffing compound...it worked well enough to get the blotch down to 2 lines about ------------------------------------ this long.
but they are so deep nothing except some good ole fashioned elbow grease will get that out and new paint job......thank god it didn't dent it... because if it hadda ............... it was a hit and run so if anyone ever sees a teal minivan otruck do me a favor and key it (lol) just for the hell of it... thanx alot just relieving some stress ok bye

    Hit and Run

I once came out to my mav only to find that the pass door had been hit and dented. The truck parked next to me had my paint on its bumper at the same height and color, not many cars are sperm white anymore. When I found the guy, (the truck had the company advertisement on the side, and it was at the expo.) he was a real asshole and had a huge grin on his face as if to say F%#K you kid! He told me I couldn't prove anything and he isn't going to have his rates go up over a peice of shit. He came out to find a rock through his back window, grape slushie all over the interior and a pair of slashed tires! The guy had a name tag on with his first and last name, I looked it up and a month later my friends and I blew up his mailbox and paintballed his house. I was a bad kid.

i was just kidding about the keying...

it was supposed to be a joke about keying every teal vehicle.....
as to the slushie incident...i applaud you, i just wish people were more human enough to at least stay around or leave a note or something. i just got it painted mirror black with blood red clear coat.. i was exstatic, when you looked at the car one way it was black...another it was dark red... it just sucks that i put well over $ 9,000 in it and it's as if no one cares anymore, like hit and runs are common day life and that needs to change, accidents happen but with decent people they can lighten the pain.....

    Scratch

What body part was hit? Maybe you could take just that part in and get it repainted. Should be much cheaper. I am interested in your paint job, do you have any pics that show it from the two angles?

    paint

i actually think that paint scheme would be pretty cool and am now thinking about it myself. as for "KEYING" every teal car in sight why not just nicely going up to it and like move all their mirrors or something where they dont really know or care who did it just say something to the effect of stupid kids. just enough to make their bad day even worse with ust enough satisfaction to make your bad day a little bit better:D

    yea i will.....

yea i'll take some pictures today and get them printed....since i don't have a digital camera....it's a good paint scheme it's a show stopper at any event...i once had a guy look at my car at a convention not to long back and he saw it as black, at one angle ...when he came back he asked if i had 2 different cars because it was now a real dark red sometimes looking burgundy....but even getting the door done it's going to cost 500 dollars...hopefully next week will be better

No need to "get back" at someone for their stupidity and carelessness. I'm sure the guilty conscience is enough to drive them crazy for a few days for sure. I remember when my brother backed into my truck, which I just got painted the day before ($1700 paint job). Of course there were a few newly invented words, but looking back, it wasnt that big of deal. It wouldnt have been so bad if he had backed into it with something other than my '74 Maverick, but oh well. Live and learn. Think of it this way, the guy that was careless enough to back into your car, he'll look where he's going next time, I almost guarantee it.
