First off I would like to start by saying hello to all of the members of of this great forum that I have been a lurker in for a long time. I am amazed at the amount of knowledge floating around in here. I have owned a few mavericks and one comet in the past and I am on the lookout for a new project, I hope to buy a 72 Maverick thats just down the road from me. I am not really looking to buy any time in the next few months as I am trying to get my body shop up and running but if the owner says he will sell it I wont turn him away. I try to keep my mouth shut unless I have something important to say or if some one asks me a direct question, so if I dont post often thats the reason. I am a big fan of the 351 Cleveland and have owned 5 Mustangs, 4 71-73 fastbacks all with Clevelands, 1 68 coupe. I have alot of info on Clevelands if any one needs anything and I will be willing to help any way I can. Ok enought about me. Are there any Maverick and/or Comet owners near the NC coast? Shoot me an Email and maybe we could set up a get together on the Crystal Coast. There was a recent letter in the Mailbox section of the March issue of Mustangs & Fords magazine concerning a new Maverick and Comet club, MCG (Maverick Comet Group) the web address is http://www.maverickcometgroup.com/. Please chech it out. With big brother trying to get as many old cars off of the road as they can, I believe supporting this hobby is very important for the future of our younger generation. Once again I would like to say hello to everyone here and happy cruising. classic_painter
Welcome classic_painter I am somewhat of a noob here too. I don't post much, but I do surf alot. However, it's nice to get acknowledgement. Great to have you!
aboard...glad to have you here. The Maverick/Comet Group you mentioned is a new group but most (if not all) of the members of that club are members on this forum.
