i found my leak before it got to bad, i had a little tube that was leaking in to the car and it was because of a bad heater core

Well I fixed the window, but now on the driver side almost by the cowl theres this rectangle that the water is coming in from, it looks like it might be a drain for the door jams but i have no clue, what is it?

I cant its kind of a crease where two sheets of metal were welded together when the car was built. I sealed it up i guess ill see if it works, Is there any thing you can put on your speakers to stop moister from getting to them?

Saving up money for a Comet. Again.
I'm still leaning toward the doors. When I first got my Comet I took it through one of those automatic carwashes.... and got drenched. Seriously, it was ridiculous, and it was the doorseals. Prolly want to redo your window seals too. The cost of redoing all the seals is a bit much, but it's way better than driving a skunky rustbucket :p

I also pulled up my whole back carpet/took out the seats and just let it air out for a couple of days/ bought lots of febreeze.

    Goodluck :)

that is the cowl drain... i had to seal that on mine as well

what i did, was take a garden hose and run water down the windshield in small areas at a time to locate all the little places, and sealed them one at a time.

you might want to do the same.. but let the water dry before sealing, to ensure a good bond

i used black High Temp RTV... it is flat black when it dries and will blend on to dark areas and windshield rubber

use a garden hose and run it all around the window area.. have someone inside and put their hand under the dash.. if they feel water.. you have more sealing to do...

Well heres all the spots where water is coming in. On the driver side it looks like the prev owner tried to seal that hole with gorilla glue or something

I justed pourded acouple of 5 gallon buckets in the Cowls, water is coming in from the A/c vent on the passenger side, and theres a huge puddle in the middle of the driver side floor, on both sides it leaks into the speaker hole. and i was wondering how to fiberglass a Cowl?
