I have an msd ready to run distributor, and need to figure out how to get it wired up. As far as I can tell, all I need is to figure out which wire needs to go to the positive terminal of the coil from the ignition. Is it the white wire with a red stripe? its a 70' and I'm dropping in a 302, so none of the stock components are there, and the connector has four wires, but as far as I can tell I just need the white with a red stripe. Thanks for any help guys.

I did go to msd online, and I know how to wire it up, I just need to know the color of the wire I need to use, I'm trying to track down the ignition wire to hook up to the positive terminal on the coil. Thanks Again.

Even if the coil is hooked up backwards it will still run. Speaking from experience. Just doesn't run like it should. Actually I need to back up a bit...I was having a running issue with the Maverick a while back and I swapped the wires on the coil and it changed nothing. MSD 6AL box, 85805 distributor and the old Accel Supercoil (you know...the one that's huge and yellow)

Thanks for all of the responses guys, I have one of the ready to run ones with the ignition module built in, so all it needs is the coil, I appreciate the responses, and was actually looking for which color wire off of the wiring harness, little four-plug near the firewall on the drivers side; which wire I need to hook up to the positive side of the coil. But I'll just try a couple and figure out which one works.

Use a test light.... turn the key to on and if it a wire comes on and stays on... thats your wire :)

I cant help you on color as I sold my Comet, but thats the best way to tell.
