Need Torque for the head on a 72 mav. 6 cyl. 250

    If anyone can tell me the torque pounds for my 72 mav 6cyl. 250 and if possible a head bolt pattern as well ,that would be great thanks in advance.

    50Ft/Lbs, wait ten minutes, then 65. Wait at least 20 minutes, preferably overnight. Then 75. Be sure to use oil or moly grease on the bolt threads and under the heads. Also on the hardened flatwashers if you have them too. You may choose to put Permatex No.3 on threads of the front bolt that goes into the water jacket, instead of grease. Still use lubrication to the underside of its head. "

    Eng torque spec 69-76 250 ci

    70-75 ft lbs in 25lbs steps. Left side of car is drivers side. Start at center bolts rt side 1. go to lt side 2. go fwd lt side 3. rt side 4. now go aft of 1-2. rtside 5. Lt side 6. now fwd. Lt side 7. rt side 8. now aft rt side 9. Lt side 10. now aft again Lt11. rt 12. now front rt13 Lt14. and thats the torque sequence. Jed.
