PLAY NICE BOYS--- everyone is entiteld to their opinion. i personally like the way they look. very race inspired. maverick 73 is simply going for a more stock look than some others. i most deffinately can see the advantages of these bars versus the stock system.
any thoughts of making some available for purchase thru this site? i would be interested.

I re-read it this morning and noticed that it sounded meaner than I intended. Fixed it up a little...:p

Mr. Ed does fine work. I don't think Maverick_73 was "dissing" Ed; only the idea and look of using Heim joints instead of the flimsy, piss-poor designed (;)) stock supports.

I proudly display my Mr. Ed's Monte Carlo Bar and Shock Tower Braces:

The stock shock tower braces will not fit EFI apps because of the huge upper intake.

thats a great idea, using heim joints. Really cuts down fabrication and welding. I may have to make my own now. Probably won't do the monye carlo bat part but looks like a simple way of getting rid of the stock braces. I hope this design isn't copyrighted :yup:

My neighbor who builds rat rods ahs all kinds of heims, he uses them to build 4 links for susupension. He gets them cheap and will help me with the fab work. Another project to try to get done before it gets boiling hot here in Phoenix.

Actually, I checked the giraffe thing the last time I was at the Houston Zoo (zoo keepers act like they own these animals! ).

Yes, all the hardware is relatively expesive. The joints themselves aren't super high, but add the left-hand ends, LH nuts, and other hardware, it runs a tad over a hundert bucks. But well worth it in my opinion.
