Pay no attention to the haters. (Down Boys!, Down! ;))

Chevy, Oldsmobile, Buick, Datsun, Mopar, (well, maybe not Datsun or Mopar :D) powered Mavericks are welcome.

(Just didn't want you think that after all these years in hiding, that when you finally did come out of the bushes that you'd be ambushed for owning a Cheby powered Maverick)

I personally wouldn't put a SBC in a Maverick, but give me a BBC Maverick anyday!

Can you tell us about your Maverick (how long owned, who did the engine, do you race it, e.t., etc)?

Oh, and that's a nice looking Maverick you've got there!

    :Welcome:

Thanks for the nice welcome. I purchased in 1991 for $1500 setting in a yard deteriorating. The Chevy 327 SB with tunnel ram was allready in it with M22 muncie and 4.56:1 9" posi rear. The owner raced it in the 70's. I rebuilt everything myself. I post more pic when Ohio weather gets better to take them.

Yep...I guess they all gotta come out of the closet sometime! :D I guess I don't have a real problem with a c-motor in a Mav. Heck, if I was a C-Man, I would look for a good car to put my motor in too. :)
I don't suggest taking it to a Fun Ford Weekend anytime though. I went to a show last year in Atlanta (all Ford show in case you don't know) and there was a beautiful Ford street rod in the show. He didn't open his hood and when they found out why (c-motor) they politely escorted him out. :yahoo: What a wonderful day it was!!!

Actually everyone, one of the most successful racing teams in the early days of NHRA Pro Stock ran a Chevy powered Maverick back in the 70's(y)
