I would like to thank everybody for all the tech info and pictures of your mavericks/comets. I just became a member, but have been visiting this site for years.A wealth of information! Im from Ontario Canada where there are almost no mavericks left.(salted roads in winter). So I found a 73grabber from Arkansaws. Just the usual rusted floor(from leaky cowl) otherwise rust free. With the help of this site I will restomod this car. THANK YOU ALL!!

Hi Derek 5oComet! I Live just south of Brantford. I've been to Welland to see the canal. Sweet Comet! My 73, currently under slow resto. Have '85 H.O 5L T5.Not yet installed. Small bumpers. Do you know of anyone who makes fiberglass or reproduction front valence for 70-72? I have a steel one but needs work.

Hey klassicmav,I just went through Brantford on Wednesday, theres a few guys on here from southern Ontario Dave Boyer is in London,DAYDREAMER [Ron] is in Oshawa and Comet guy [Dave] is somewhere in between.I don't know of anyone reproducing the front valance,i'm assumeing you want a 1971-72 small bumper one 1973's are different from what i hear, but i'll see what i can come up with.Ron[DAYDREAMER] is having a Comet/Maverick meet and greet in Milton in may if you do a forum search you should be able to find his post about it all are welcome with your car or not, but it might be a good parts sourcing group to meet.Keep in touch Derek.Oh and by the way my car has the 5.0 ho engine and t-5 trans too so if you have any questions about the swap feel free to ask.
