I was called by the owner and I bought it for 750.00 probably play around and make a street rod out of it nothing matching just a cool looking car. Let my boys practice tin-work prime her up and then sell it anyone looking for anything they see I might part it out also and keep the motor for another project... I think there is 750.00 worth of parts here what do you think?????
Motor runs good and can be driven around the yard... Need a trailer to get her home still making phone calls looking for one....
If you part it out I would like first crack at the bumbers Front & Back PLEASE!!!!!! Also the rear spoiler & quarter extensions.
Well, I probably would not have paid more than $500 max for it, but you got a great parts-car, and you should be able to use it to build a really nice Maverick...
I initially agreed with TL, but if you spend a few minutes looking at the car...I don't think it is restoreable without SERIOUS work, but look at all those parts... I would throw $200 at those seats if they are as nice in real life as they look. Rims look like another couple hundred (again, if as nice in person as the pictures make them out to be). Running engine, apparently straight bumpers, possibly valences, salvageable grabber hood, rear spoiler, etc. I could easily turn that car into $1500 cash. Not even counting the engine...
Up in this parts,,,I'd say it's a great deal! Good one to restore also. Not sure here,,but in the one picture,,I am wondering which country has the seat in the middle??? Maybe a "Slavia" Shelby!!!! Good Luck, and a belated Welcome Vern!
I've seen that car before. Don't remember when, but I know I've seen it. Someone has definately done alot of work on that car at some point. Appears to be a '70 body with '71/'72 Grabber hood and spoiler and LDO seats with a 302 swapped in. Easily 750 worth of parts there. Good deal in my book.
BAH! That thing is practically restored as it sits. Nothing on there is a lost case. The floors are decent. They'll only need a patch in places tops. A little bead blasting and some paint and it'll be good to go. Same for the body, only patches needed. The quarters and doors don't need to be re-skinned and the fenders and hood look good too. I like the idea of letting the boys practice their restoration skillz on her.
