357 Grabber, Do you have any pics of your car with 68 cougar tailights. I have considered putting them in a 2nd Maverick that I plan to build, but would live to see what it looks like before hand. Thanks Allen Small
357 Grabber; Are those the same as the taillights that Shelby used on the '67 Shelby Mustangs? I don't see any bezels. How did you install them if you don't mind explaining. It almost looks like they go in from inside the trunk. Thanks. John B.
357Grabber, the meet is this weekend for breakfast, you haven't missed it yet, it is this sat. Check out the Ky. breakfast thread.
those are 68 cougar lenses..I cut the frame off of them...made a pattern and cut the rear panel, slid them in from the rear and welded studs to the inside of the rear panel and attached the light holding fixture to that. I dont have the sequencer for them but they look like a shelby to most people. I used black rtv silicone to seal around the lenses, put a dab of oil on my finger and radiused the rtv...not flawless but looks good to me...it was VERY tedius..cutting the panel to hold the lenses on the "edge"..but I got it done..I finished the car in 1993...by the looks of alot of cars here...theyre catchin up and alot have passed me..I just cant get 427 inch windsor outta my head...my 357 windsor runs hard..Green machines 427...man thatd be KILLER !!!:bananaman :bananaman :bananaman
oh yeah the blue is 1992 stealth blue base clear paint by daimont..I sprayed it myself and am not happy with the finish...I need to get a pro to reshoot it so I can put my 3m grabber stripes back on..I'm not gonna put 600.00 stripes on the paint I have now for sure
