Frank did it make your interior significantly quieter? Also did you use it behind your firewall?

If you did the whole interior how much weight do you think it would add?

I bought a box of Dynamat today, 9 sheets. I'll weight it when it gets here on Friday. I'm replacing the firewall insulation, and doing the floors. I'm not too worried about the weight, the motor can handle it :)

    Fatmat...

Okay guys and gals here is the skinny according to me, so take it for what you will. Go on ebay here: http://cgi.ebay.com/100sf-FatMat-Ca...ryZ50552QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

You can get all the specs you want, and the 1lb a square foot, well I thought that a bit heavy. The installed weight of 100 square feet is 23lbs, about 4 square feet to a pound. Now the math part, dynamat is about $200 plus shipping for 4 sheets of 9 square feet, so that is 36 total square footage. Fatmat comes in two rolls of 50 square feet each for $120 INCLUDING shipping. So Dynamat is about double the price for 1/3 of the product. I used less than one roll on my 2 door Mav. I started at the top of the toe board, where the floor ramps up to meet the vertical part of the firewall and covered every inch of the floor pan to the braces behind the rear seat back and doubled everything under the rear seat cushion from the braces to the rear seat foot wells. My only complaint is the cheap, flimsy roller they send to you free, trust me go to a hardware store and buy a hard, wooden roller, or something similar. I am quite sure my car is a lot less noisy than with the factory asphalt matting that is just laying about under your factory carpeting. I am going to do the quarters and doors next. Any questions, I will be glad to attempt to give a fair and balanced answer. (copyright FOX NEWS:dance: )
