Damn...that's a great price if it's aluminized pipe. Still not bad even if it's not but aluminized just lasts so much longer if you don't drive the car every day.

But that's only 2-1/4". You need at least 3-inch for everything to "flow"...

From the pic, it is only pinch bent 2.25" pipe without mufflers or header hookups.
I know it says the pic may not be the actual part number, but if the pic has pinch bends, then expect pinch bends on the part you get.

I know we don't need 3" pipe, TL...
However, pinch bent 2.25" pipe will choke a stock 2v Maverick!
Mandrel 1.75" pipe would flow better... AND FIT BETTER!

That is a gross exaggeration. Even a 2-inch pinch-bent dual exhaust would flow PLENTY on a stock 2-V 302. They came stock with a single 2" pinch-bent pipe!

Your greatest restriction is over the rear axle, which is why I like using a larger diameter pipe from the mufflers back, to compensate...

Nice to know Dennis. Thanks for posting. I got tired of my 2 1/2" beating on the axle housing so I cut them off and dumped them after the muffler. Now I'm getting tired of the loud rumble. NO, I can't be pleased.

    Excellent info.

At that price, you could change it out every year! (well, you get my drift).

    My mav was 2 1/4 piping:huh:

and did you guys notice it says side exit if it exits before the rear wheels you can just get a universal kit form summit or jegs for less.

    It exits behind the wheels.

According to the Summit Racing website, the Dynomax 89000 is a universal dual exhaust system with side exit in front of the rear wheels, as below.

These Dynomax universal header dual exhaust kits use 2 1/4 in. diameter tubing and include all necessary clamps and hangers. The kits exit in front of the rear axle, and are compatible with Dynomax and Thrush turbo-style mufflers.

i am always wary of these types of websites that have one picture fits all and these drop down menus for application. I am willing to bet this is just a universal kit plugged into Mav parameters. I know people involved in these types of websites, and rarely are they enthusiasts of even care what fits a Mav properly. Buyer beware.
