Sagging rears can be fixed for $100 by getting new 4-leaf springs from JC Whitney...But I hear they are on backorder right now. I got mine last year, really quick-like And, I need to add that I agree that if you get into the engine at all, swap out for a new timing gear. I didn't know it was plastic until I swapped cams, and really wish I would have put a double roller in, but I didnt...I put a single roller steel gear in with my mild cam
If you do not plan on changing the intake to a 4V have someone take a look at the carburetor, after 30 + years it might need a tune up lots of luck
After thirty plus years of driving a car just about anything can go wrong. What ever happens it will always be cheaper to fix than to replace the car. Transmissions (automatics) will tend to wear out in 20 or 40 years so keep the oil changed and the bands adjusted. Adding a transmission cooler will extend their life more than a little.
well guys...I think we succeeded in scaring her off. Too bad, we need a little more gender equality around here No offense Jean...and Anna (who visits WAY too seldom/seldomly/rarely/not-too-often)
who's Anna..? isnt she like a solar eclipse? rarely seen, and when she does come around, it is special heheheh
When she comes around, it is usually because I am getting drunk and obnoxious and she is trying to smooth it over:16suspect
