    On the drivers side near the washer tank there is a small red button it has wires connected to it ,but don't know where they go or what the button does

    Its a seat belt over ride. It was a 74 only thing. You had to have them buckled to start the car.

    I bought the first season on DVD, before that i had recorded 6 or so of the originals on a VHS tape, but wore it out during college...

    oh ok i also noticed under my seats the cables were unplugged....are these cabels for this over ride?

    hey i got a 74 and never noticed button. where exactly is this thing and i am in the middle of converting bench to buckets could this pose a problemn

    It was only a one-year item, and only for the first half of the year (actually, you will only find them on cars manufactured in late 73 and maybe early 74). There is also a yellow (or sometimes green?) box under the dash behind the radio that was supposed to keep the car from starting unless the seatbelts were latched. Mine never worked, and I bypassed and threw away all of those wires and gadgets.
