    i have power steering fluid leaking from this part and need a new one i guess...it is the thing in the middle sticking out... what is it called? it is on the drivers side behind the brake

    i just checked napa online and they have one for $199 and a $55.56 core charge. they also have a seal kit for $16.49. i'd bet that's all you need. but i've never played with one before.:)

    ended up finding one at my local AutoZone for $144 after a $48 core charge so not so bad..

    this has got to be the hardest part to get off in the world i have been trying for 2 hours now and am still stuck and taking the bar off from the top and pulling the whole thing out...

    the only way i have had any luck getting one to stop leaking...take it off and go to m/s (y)
    i spent over $200 on mine for leaking and then took it off..:cry:

    yeah same problem with my maverick....should i deal with trying to fix it... or convert to manual steering?

    well 3 hours later i still hadnt gotton it off and just had fluid all over... also cost me a good bit of money might be better to go to manual...

    Go get your money back... take the old one off, remove power steering pump and lines. Drive. ;)

    so the steering box it has now is the same as a manual box?
