Manual steering too easy

    Is there an adjustment on a 73 Mav's manual steering gear box to tighten it up a bit?

    The alignments great. Toe in /out etc.
    The tires new.
    Balance good.

    I just don't like how easy it is to steer it.
    Especially on the highway.

    My daughter drives this car and I am a bit paranoid that she may
    lose it on the highway if she gets distracted.

    I would like to stiffen it up a bit if it's possible.

    put a 10" chain steering wheel on it, that will stiffen the steering up a bit... (Just kidding T.L.)

    sounds as though the caster is off. If your alignment were correct,it would perform as expected.

    That's a very good possibility. I would definitely recommend getting the alignment checked.
