hey guys, it's been a couple of weks and I'm back on the mav. I now have the 302 in with the headers, starter and trans hooked up. now I can't figure out the pullys and alt ternator brackets. I put a new water pump on so the bottom outlet would exit on the diver side to match up with the rad. but now I noticed that the new water pump has different holes and depths of holes were the alt. brackets hooked up. my other problem is I can't find a water pump pully. any Idea what I should do or look for? how do I know how deep the water pump pully should be to match up to the crank pully? as always thanks for any help.

Not to mention the fact that now your timing pointer is on the other side of the motor and your timing marks will be off, I feel for you I just went through all this. I changed mine back due to the fact that my my SFI harmonic balancer was too far back to get a pulley to match and my water pump pulley had zero clearance. If you ever figure out what you need I have a bunch of brackets and pulleys

Prior to 1970 the lower hose was on the passenger side and it used a different set of brackets & pulleys, as you know. If you can, go to a junk yard and locate a 70's to early 80's 302 and pull all the pulleys, brackets and balancer. Otherwise is kind of a trial & error-crap shoot. Someone may have part numbers, but that still makes it rather difficult to locate the specific part.
