My name is Jim, and I am a Fordaholic! Currently, I own 7 Fords, and soon will be 8. They range from my daily driver Explorer to my occasional use F350. In between, I have 3 '69 Cougars and 2 Mustangs, thus my name Coutangman. You have to be careful how you say it, lol! Yesterday, I won a '72 Sprint Maverick on Ebay and will be taking delivery soon to add it to the stable. It will eventually be parked next to a close relative, my '72 Mustang Sprint Sportroof. I have always loved the Sprints, ever since I was a young man just out of college and special ordered one very similiar to the Stang I now own. Now, if I could only find a Sprint Pinto! I doubt there are any of them left today. I am sure I will have a lot of questions, since this is my first Maverick. Hope to meet some of you in the future. Jim
Howdy and "Welcome" Please check out my Maverick Sprint Registry at: http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=17962&highlight=sprint+registry I almost bought a Pinto Sprint about 6 years ago, I wished I would have. I think they are even more rare than the Maverick or Mustang Sprints. I have been to Ocala many times to go to the NPD Silver Springs show. Nice area.
Welcome aboard fellow Sprint owner! I too would like to own one of each but it's unlikely to ever happen. Too many cars already. Anyway, good luck with the new project. We'll help ya any way we can.
Welcome to the board. In my 30 plus years of working with cars, I don't think I have ever seen a Pinto Sprint except in photographs. Same for the Pinto Stallions. I have a feeling that finding either one of those Pintos would be like finding a needle in a haystack. It sure would cool if if you did find one to go along with your Maverick Sprint. Oh, BTW, Congrats on your new Maverick.
Maverick 5946, I will be coming to the Louisville area for a car show the 18th of August in Shepherdsville with the Kyanna Cougar Club, which I am a member. I will probably bring one of my Cougars. I moved to Fl. from the Louisville area where I had lived for 20 years following graduation from WKU. I will be staying at my sister's place in my home town of Hodgenville. Will you be attending? It is an all Ford show at a park there. If so, maybe I will get to meet you. Jim
I told you that you had to be careful how you say that name, lol. I guess it official now. The Sprint is at my place, although I did have some problems along the way( see Adventures in Towing thread). I asked Mark a lot of questions today. I am sure I will have more. Thanks for having me on the forums. Jim
