I have heard the talk,,, and read the print...... Now ya all got me wondering if I am NOT missing something nearly as cool as the Round-up?? I think I could actually get me and myself and that red and black thing to Carlisle next year. ( the Stallion and I are having a tiff right now) I saw the website,,, looks like a pretty good time. All Fords huh?? would they beat me with a stick for towing with my suburban? What is the lodging like?? Close to the event??

Carlisle is THE place to go for one of the best all Ford shows around Dan. I live fairly close to Carlisle so I don't have a need for lodging while I'm there, but as I understand it there is plenty of motels in the area. The only thing is you pretty much need to book a room a year in advance. Here is the web site for Carlisle: www.carsatcarlisle.com. The information for lodging should be on that web site. Plus you can check out the pictures of the winners from this past year. Believe me, it's worth the trip.

It is OK, I knew I was going to get found out sooner or later. I am glad you like the club and are getting something from it. The website is going through some changes and should be up soon. I am trying to get a Forum put up so that you guys can get input from each other and the editor's said they would jump in every so often for a little guidence. Maybe I will see you in Carlisle!!!

    Later,

    Shelby

PS And thank you for your suport on the Maverick!! It will be interesting to see which project gets more attention from the readers.... The '70 Maverick build or the '91 Mustang Build

Dan you can sleep with your car if you want to. Me and Dennis parked our trailers right beside the "Maverick" section last year (in the camping area)and only had a 3 foot walk from the trailers to the parking spot. They have free showers and you can buy breakfast at the venders booths. Not a bad set up, better than I had hopped for. Russ

Hey Dan, rather then spend money on motels, which are nonexistent anyway, I just sleep in my car trailer. There are showers on the grounds so an air mattress and sleeping bag is all I need. Doug usually camps in there too but I make him keep his distance.

Shelby, I look foward to seeing you again.

K, I am going. John and Todd lets hook up somewhere. Sounds like we can live like gypsies. I am going to plan some of my vacation time for it.

count me in too. I take the PA turnpike from the Ohio state line all the way across so if anyone is coming that way let me know. Could be a MCCI State Rep gathering. :)Russ

cool, looks like there will be a ton of maverick representation this year, i may have to bring my car this year, i cant stand being there without something neat to drive, just the main road through the town after hours is an experience

This is great! The more Mavericks and Comets that show up the better. If we all keep this up the folks at Carlisle will have to give us more room on the field. Wouldn't it be cool if someday we could get as many of our cars there as there are in the Merkur class? Now that would be a sight to see.:bananaman :bananaman :bananaman
