well i'm looking at buying a house this summer, may have to sell my mav since its just sitting there doing nothing, was wondering what is it worth? it has a rust free body, paint is ok, weld pro stars all the way around, tci superstreet fighter trans, 347 stroker with forged eagle internals, roush 200 heads, aluminum radiator, stealth intake, milodon oil pan/pump, holley 670 carb, only thing stock on the engine is the block and timing cover i believe, anyways what do you think the car is worth?
it looks like this except i put a hood on now

Put it on ebay and find out. Put the reserve at how much you want to get and let it ride

Why would this car not have a title? Do you think someone would sell... without... Especially if he's considering possibly using the money to buy a home. He gave all the details about the car. Does it sound like someone would put that kind of money into an untitled car.

I hope you were kidding or maybe you're still wet behind the ears!!

    Relax,
From my experience some cars in some states don't have titles, BUT, if I want to buy a car and import it into CANADA it needs a title.

yes the car has a title, it is michigan car but 90% of the rust has been repaired, underbody been coated with zeebart back in the 70's and it worked very well, cowl is not leaking, both torq boxes are rust free, only place of rust on the car right now is small panel behind the drivers side rear, i can provide pictures of the underbody if needed, for details on the drivetrain
its a 347 stroker, the block has been line bored, decked and cnc machined the grooves for the rod bolts, it has a main stud girdle
internally balanced rotating assembly is 4340 forged crank and h beam rods with srp forged aluminum flat top pistons, heads are cast iron roush 200, with crane blue thunder(?) roller rockers, stealth intake and holley 670 carp, has also holley electric fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator and inline canister filter.
ignition is full msd, 6al box, msd distributor and wires, blaster 2 coil,
hooker 6901 headers with 2.5 inch custom h pipe to two 40 series flow master mufflers dumps infront of axle.
has tci flexplate, tci super street fighter torque convertor 3k stall with anti balooning plates, tci superstreet fighter trans, hurst shifter,
summit aluminum radiator, b&m tranny cooler
weld drag lights wheels 8 inch in the back 6 upfront
locar throttle cable, and kickdown cable(not installed)

i also have disc brakes from 74 mav not installed yet, manual pedal assembly from a maverick

the car is not perfect by any means, the paint has few cracks in it, shifter needs to be adjusted a bit, the disc brakes needs to be installed and a bigger electric fan is needed, tires also needs to be balanced.

    :(

If that car were from Georgia, chances are the title would be long gone. I own one car that has a title, and it is wrecked. Georgia is a non title state for anything older then 1986. I believe there are a few other states the same way. So who's the one wet behind the ears? ....

I would not endevor to sell mine fot that price anytime soon. I think the selling price would be higher based on the engine etc, and the overall clean appearance of the car. I personally see a huge variation in cleanliness of cars, and to me it makes a big difference.

PS, that brown looks killer. I remember when my dad and I (child|)went truck shopping and he wanted an brown F150 cuz it had a nice tow package and was a Lariat. he asked me if i liked it . I said"..it's b-r-o-w-n ?!?" When we started walking away from the salesman, the price dropped 500 bucks to make a deal. You grow to really like it later.

In alabama you don't have to have a title for a car mae before 1975

    Thats why I asked :)
We were going to buy a Torino Talledaga from Georgia, but we would not have been able to bring it home and license it without one, I also looked a a Maverick Sprint in Michingan a few years ago, same thing, it was brought upto Michigan from somewhere down south, and didn't have a title.
