Does anyone out there know the actual color name or number for the 1974 ford maverick that was a mustard yellow color? I'm looking everywhere and it seems the only way to find out is to buy a vintage color chart off ebay!
    thanks a lot

There is a 1974 Ford color called Medium Golden Rod, Ford paint code 6c that looks very much like a mustard color.

Not much difference between "6D" and "6E" on the 75 chart...:hmmm:
    I can't even tell which mine is.
Between the 30 something year old, faded paint, PC monitor variations, and the possibility that sample paper was scanned in a little off... I can't tell.
    Done ranting. ;)
Forgot to mention my declining sight in old age too!

Thanks for posting the link to the color chips. I have saved them under Favorites here.

I was a rep for a paint company. As pointed out, because of error that gets introduced due to scanning, monitor color settings, etc., looking at the chips online should only be a starting point. They really are not that useful until you have them in-hand, especially metallic colors. You really will see a big difference. I would also suggest you take the chips out into sunlight to look at them.
