    the 74 Comet doesn't have a cat ........ lots of smog junk under the hood though......... Robert:rolleyes:

    1972 Maverick Grabber - Color: Orange Also, 1976 Ford Maverick 4-door, 1977 Mercury Comet 2-door.
    1975 Mavericks/Comets with a 6 cyl have a converter.

    I will post later as to why I know. ;)

    yes some 75 302's did some didnt. my ford shop manual has set ups for both with and with out cats. all 6's did have cats

    75 was the first year for cats, they were installed as needed to pass emissions, so not all cars had them in 75. I have seen the same shop manuals that lists some 75 V8 cars without em.
