I was just trying to adjust my pressure regulator which came with my Holley blue pump. Regardless of how far out I turn the adjustment screw outward the pressure keeps climbing! as soon as I turn on the pump it jumps to 7psi....then very slowly climbs over 10psi. Is this normal? Am I missing something? Carb dosn't seem to overflow...so not sure if it is something I need to worry about or not.....any advice?

Are you adjusting it with the engine running?

Watch out for liquid filled gauges, if thats your case. They tend to increase the reading as the engine temp gets higher.

Be sure to set it with the car running.Yes holley regulators like to climb and as 1low7t said liquid filled guages like to climb as they warm due to expansion of the liquid in the housing applying pressure to the mechanism of the guage.Hope this helps, good luck.

Did your regulator sit for any length of time? You could have something jamming the ball in the regulator. Do you have any leaks in the regulator? They have a diaphram inside of them that could be ruptured.

Seems to me that the Holley regulator you turn the screw in to reduce pressure.

Yes , It is opposite from a float bowl adjustment.

On a Holley regulstor You crack the Nut loose , then use the Screw to do the adjustment, then lock the nut back down.

If you guys already knew this...Sorry. :D
