I would say a rust free Grabber hood not needing any repair is worth $400 ... Start deducting $30 for every square inch of rot ...
I bought a pretty nice Grabber hood along with a Grabber trunk lid with the spoiler end-caps for $300.
There are still good deals out there to be found. Ever one I found was when I really wasent looking for one.
I got a Grabber hood, rear spoiler, 302 engine, C-4 tranny and all the little stuff I wanted off a donor car for a whopping $250. They were fixin' to crush it. So that means the Grabber hood otta be worth, Oh maybe $50. You know your not gonna part with that hood
I have 2 grabber hoods, I put snorkles on both of them, then found out they were hard to come by, 1 came on my 72 and the other came with a 71 parts non grabber. Ed
ive kinda been noticing how many of you guys have small bumpered cars compared to big bumpers. obviously alot more cars left the factory with big bumpers but looking at most members cars i would think the early models had a higher survival rate.
Maverick sales dropped quite a bit in the later years. If you add up all the production numbers ... I would think there were more small bumper Mavericks and Comets sold than Big Bumpers ...
HAHA, somebody's been digging deep..... but since we're on the subject....Grabber hoods are non-existent down here....
I picked up a grabber hood in good shape at the classic car swap meet in Chickasha Oklahoma last summer for $20.00.
Nice - I gave $25 for one of my hoods, but that was years ago. I just gave $300 for a perfect hood. Maybe that was too much but it needs no work at all.
