I just got the 999 report from Ford for my father's Stallion. There is some interesting information but no mention about the Stallion package. They only mention the "youth appearance group". Is that how they called it back then? I made a search on this forum about that and found a post from 2002 and it look like the "youth appearance group" is the Stallion package but i just want to be sure. Thanks!
A 999 is a letter directly from FORD, more like a letter of authenticity, where the Marti Report gives you production numbers, dealership name, etc.
The 999 report is free but seldom mentions any packages. I have one for my Sprint which makes no mention of the Sprint package and one for my 71 Comet GT but does not mention the GT package. The Marti report has them listed. These is a number to call to get the 999 report. Its somewhere on this sight. I don't have it.
At first i went there: https://www.customersaskford.com/ to finally go there: https://www.ford.com/en/support/emailUs.htm and simply filling the form asking for the 999 report. You give your VIN, some info about the car and your address and voila! 2 months after you have the report..for free!
Glad it only took you 2 months. I have ordered three of them, and it took at least 4-5 months to get them. It took 7 months to get the one for my '72.
I tried the link you posted, and after I filled in the info, I get a popup message saying that the vin info is not filled out correct. Must not work with the old style vin numbers...
Dont understand why you had that... Never had this problem. I just put the VIN into the "message" section... try again!
