So I noticed a little text above my page inviting me to post here in the n00b forum :). Well I've just been reading on these forums a lot about Mavericks since the last car show I saw a white Maverick and for some reason I was loving its looks. So I looked on eBay and what not and found them to be rather inexpensive, so for a college student it wouldn't be a bad little car to pick up. I am a Ford guy but I love anything that appeals to me, anyways I recently found a Maverick which I will be looking at in about a week and I have just been reading up on here about them, trying to get some knowledge on them. For those interested its a 1970 Maverick with a 289 in it. Look forward to talking with you all!

    What is a reasonable price for a 1973 4d 6 cyl, 61,000 miles

I am in the same boat. I am looking at a 1973 4D with 61,00 original miles. looks great but a lot of oil around the valves. I am too new at being a weekend grease monkey to know a whole lot more. She is asking $2000 but will take $1700. stills seems high to me. Any ideas what the going rate might be?

Not nearly enough information. Pics would also help tremendously if you would like some honest opinions. How does it drive? Is there rust? How is the interior? Does it need painting? Is it a v8 or 6cyl? Value depends on a lot of things like this. Plus a 4-door car is not worth nearly as much as a 2-door car.
Oh yeah, Welcome aboard...and good luck!
