cady or no cady I called Auto Krafters the other day to see if the passenger floor pan has the hump for the converter or if it's for the early cars with no hump. Well, they guy I talked to said they would be on back order for some time, and untill they get one in to look at they can't even tell me if it has the hump or not. I'm hoping for no hump my self.
I'm thinking with a hump it would be most versatile and cover more years so I'm guessing it'll have a hump!
The guy from AK that was at the Round-up told me, that they cut the floors out of a 73 Comet so they could be copied for the replacements.
All floors are pretty much the same, 70's have a smaller transmission tunnel, and in 75 they added a hump for the Cat Converter, other than that they are the same. The hump is no big deal unless you want bucket seats.
1970 floorboards don't have provisions for bucket seats. These floorboards I am sure will offer the closest thing to a factory piece and can EASILY be made to fit other years.
hoods That is an excellent idea! Maybe the back edge of trunk lids too. Darned chrome trim on those ... I have drilled drain holes in the bottoms of that trim on both of my cars and have advised others to also.
I'll buy one if it gets repoped, it would make the repair alot easier. Door skins would be next on my want list.
well i dunno if the mustang cowl 'hats' will work in mavericks but if they wont i feel that would be a good thing to repop and fairly easy
cowl hats I have seen the Mustang cowl repair pieces made out of plastic that were glue-in operations, and was told that they fit our cars, too. It has been so long ago, I don't recall the manufacturer, but the seller was a local Mustang resto parts shop that I would hit from time to time for stuff. They are since out of business.
