I have a 4" DIA Al "HD Drive Shaft" with Series 1350 U-joints (Slip Yoke and Pinion) going to a 9" from Denny's Driveshaft @ http://www.dennysdriveshaft.com/html/hd_aluminum.html

Cost a little less than $500 wtih TT&L & Shipping as I recall.

The guys "in the know" at the track recommended Denny's (fwiw).

I thought I remembered other people on this board who bought the FMS aluminum drive shaft for Fox Mustangs and they said after removing the flat "flange " on the rear end of the shaft that it boltef right in. :)

Has anyone ever twisted up a factory Maverick Drive shaft?

I would be cautious on this one. Aerostar aluminum driveshafts were involved in a factory recall because of so many failures, and replaced with steel ones.

Mark Williams is currently making a carbon fiber shaft for my car, i'll let you guys know how much it weighs when it's finished. Also using there 4340 C4 Yoke w/ a 4340 9" pinion yoke, 1350 solid U-joints. The shaft will be balanced on there balancing machine to 10,000 rpm. I used to run a standard, 3" aluminum shaft from Inland Empire, I developed a vibration so I took it out and had it checked. The driveshaft shop said that it was not straight anymore and was causing my vibration. I'm not sure if it got hit with something or got twisted.

Just ignore the blue bottle and pictures of the radical wheel stands. I'm sure that a rock caused it to bend! :rofl2:

It was "supposed to be" a heavy duty driveshaft designed for racing abuse.:D
