:rolleyes:hello brother and sister mav and comet owners came on last night and already feel like im part of the family. have been around cars all my 35 years and became a maverick owner just this past weekend. Ineed a question answered if possible. On the driver side steering attached to the centerlink is a power assist unit i guess iam thinking maybe i want to get rid of this seeing as it is not hooked up and the car has been swapped to a 302 i am going to drive the car and take it to the strip some and just enjoy my maverick.i will try to get some pics on here soon. have certainly enjoyed looking at all you guys and gals mavs and comets

Welcome, I keep mine's & just replaced the hoses. I think with it gone , you would have a cleaner look under the hood though.

Howdy &:Welcome:......TRUE, it make for a cleaner appearance, but I would look for a manual gear box, center link and a pittman arm.....BTW, I have an extra gear box I will part with. PM me to let me know if interested (y)

thanks for the welcome guys where i am located here in east texas there are some choices of tracks Rusk, Tx has a1/4 mile there is one in Diboll, Tx Pine Valley raceway and since I am not to far from Louisiana Red River raceway is just as close as the others. all about an hour or so all 1/4 mile the closest 1/8 mile to me is Houston motorsports park I havent been there but have some friends tell me it is one of the nicest tracks in the country there are also some 1/8 m tracks in the DFW area .. I hope to get the car to one of them soon to get a baseline starting point on my car.:drive:
