Real nice day here today. My older brother was in town visiting so I drove the Stallion over to Mom's house. I asked him if he ever drove it before,,, he said he never remembered driving it, nor did I remember him ever driving it. So we went cruising for quite awhile, he has not driven a stick for many years. Just like riding a bicycle he got back into it real fast.
Then we did some work on Mom's house and had steaks on the grill and a couple beers:thumbs2:.
Then my uncle shows up and he hadnt seen the Stallion for several years and had actually forgotten about it. So I asked him if he wanted to go for a ride. So my brother crawls in the back, uncle,, oh, he is 88 years old and sharp as a tack and in incredible shape sits up front. When we got out to a lonesome stretch of road I nailed it from a stop and went thru 2 gears. Uncle had a smile on his face all the way back home. He even mentioned it a couple times on how much fun that was. Said he would remember it the rest of his life. So the guy who had more combat days in WWII than anyone else in the state of Illinois had a little fun in a Maverick today,,, but not half as much fun as I did. I love that car!!!

Any time you can put a smile a Veterans face, you put one on mine as well. My step-granddad, always Mr. Greek to me or granddad, was an old school Ford Nut, Model A's and T's was drafted into the Army for WWII at the spring chicken age of 31. God rest his soul. He loved his cars as did we all!

Great story and I know you will remember that day for the rest of your life as well!
