ok so what do you guys think about the gt40 heads? i had a huge problem with the heads for my car because i had someone else dealing with my machine work because he had a friend that worked at a machine shop and he said he could get me a good deal and then he said the same thing about heads but he ordered windsor jr heads and then told me afterwards and i told him about the header issues and blah blah blah all that crap and i had told him that i was looking for aluminum either way so after 3 months and a bunch of different sets of heads apparently were finally ending up with gt40 heads. what do you think about these? edelbrock performer rpm intake comp cams xe274h speedpro hyper pistons edelbrock 650 carb bored 30 over and goin with 1.6 roller rockers

I like the P heads, except for the spark plug issue. I would swap them for non-P heads in a second. The flow numbers are pretty similar.

I would not waste my time with these heads unless you were getting a deal you could not pass up. AFR or performer rpm's. I have the edelbrock performer rpm's on my 306 and would only give them up for the AFR's. I have not had a single issue with them. Fit perfect and work perfect.

I am not sure what I would do in that situation, however I have spent enough money on my car to know that if I don't like something it goes back... my money is very hard to come by. I would really try to get something you like. Good heads make all the difference.

Why not just resell them on ebay and get what you really want?
