I believe Dennis (Mavaholic) has the exact figure from his Marti Report, but I believe it is around 15,000 total, with about 4000 factory V8's. We'll see how close I am if Dennis replies.

Wow...4000 v8 cars. That's a lot of v8 Sprints. I wonder what happened to them all. I'd be surprised if there was more than 200 of them left considering how many of them have been accounted for them on here. I think I'll keep mine.

Yeah, $15K IS alot, but it really did look good. No underhood pictures though, and for $15K it would have to be fully show quality underhood, in the trunk, and the undercarriage too. But assuming a concours type restoration, I guess it COULD be worth that. They ARE one of the rarest models, if not THE rarest...

Yeah, I'd second eBay on that one.
There are a few Stang parts houses that put them there for a 'Buy it now' of around 6 or 7 bux.
New Hampshire Mustang Parts is one for sure.
    BIN up almost constantly.

    Edit:
    Osborn is cheaper. $5.50
    Thanks Mavaholic.

Gotta be careful where you get your 411. Mustang Sprint USA shields are not the same as Maverick. Most Mustang parts suppliers wouldn't even know that. No matter how much anyone spends, they need to get the RIGHT part.
