Graphic Express, here in Florida, manufacturers them. When I was over ther getting my stripe kit for my Mustang Sprint, they told me they could make a Maverick hood stripe kit, too, if I brought them my hood. I haven't had time to do it yet, but I plan on doing that. The hood I have is not perfect so I am not 100% sure they will be able to do it. If they are able, is anyone else interested in a hood stripe kit? Their quality is superb.

But the hood stripe is supposed to be painted on...unless you just want vinyl. Will the vinyl be the correct color to match the lower two tone color (grabber blue paint)?

    Ray,

Are you sure the originals were painted? All the Mustangs were a vinyl stripe kit in Grabber Blue that perfectly matches the paint color. It was a two piece kit with the two blue stripes surrounded by the red stripe. I thought the Mavericks were also stripe kits except the cowl section.

Mine looks great from this company on my Mustang Sprint.

No Jim, I'm not 100% sure. My car has been repainted at some time in it's life and it's all paint. I guess we might need to check with Mavaholic since he bought his new. He should know for sure. :)
    Dennis???

My hood has two Blue decals on it. Also the Red stripe down the sides and on the back is a decal. Its painted on the cowl before the glass though.

Cool...does anybody else with a Sprint have decals on the hood instead of paint?

The original hood blue and red stripe was a decal. Personally, I repainted mine on. The vinyl will eventually crack and fade just like the original did. All the red was 1/4 pin striping. The sides had a 1 1/2" tape along the top of the blue which was 1" of blue, 1/4" of white, and 1/4" of red. All my blue is repainted and the red is 1/4" pin striping.

    Thanks Boss!!!

I knew the red was vinyl and now that I think of it I remember seeing fragments of the blue on the sides where they didn't entirely remove it in the inner fender lip. It all makes sense though. That process would be much easier for them when going thru the assy lines.
    Thanks again Dennis.

What color red is everyone using for the pin stripes? I know 9 A Wimbleton White (I know that is not spelled right) and 3 F Grabber Blue are the codes for the Blue and White but don't know what color the red is? Any ideas??

3M 72604 is the correct red. Thats a 150 ft roll. Next smaller one down I found is a 40 ft which would not be enough to do a car.

but......is your's a Canadian Sprint.......or an American Sprint? That would determine what type or rear decal you put on.
