    Has anyone noticed the original Ford advertising for the Sprints had Stang badges on the Mav!
    The small badges must have been a last minute change...

    Just some trivia.
    I might throw some on my Mav one day just to match the ads.
    Not like it is going to be a concours restoration or anything.

    I had a set of NOS badges, still do somewhere, but when I tried to use one, it just crumbled into pieces. Dry rotted I guess.

    Yep, those are original decals. Mine are original and are exactly the same way. I always wondered why it switched to red on the cowl/wrapped under the hood. Here are pics of mine. 1st: hood/cowl, 2nd: wrapped under hood :

    That's weird! I guess if that happened on a Mustang, correct restoration would have to include the mis-matched pin stripes. :rofl2:
