ok so i have a '75 250 mav and a limited budget, and i would like to swap a late model 302, or any 302 for that matter, into my car. i believe my car has a c-4, but im not entirely sure as to the specs of my car. i know it has front disks and power steering. ive seen threads on doing the i6-v8 swap, but im wondering about the real logistical and financial problems i am looking at. someone said that i might need a new rear end and some other more extensive parts, but i dont know
    thanks a bunch

btw i just got some cragars, and man do they make a huge difference in the look of the car

You will not need to swap your rearend since your car has an 8 inch and it doesn't sound like you are going for a speed demon. Depending on how much you plan to beat on it, or how much power you plan to make, you may want to find a V8 C4 or have yours rebuilt to V8 specs. Your current bell housing will work fine. You need to find V8 frame mounts also, and a double hump transmission cross member, though that is somewhat optional. Also will need a V8 throttle cable, and either factory Maverick/Comet manifolds or a set of headers. Then you will need to factor in the cost of having the exhaust done.

If you post the codes on the sticker in the door jam, we can tell you what transmission and rearend ratio (likely either a 2.79 or 3.00) the car has.
