  2. Sprint

  3. Grabber

The picture doesn't do it justice...it really is a brighter yellow...like the smilies :burnout:
Not that it matters anymore  I've already started taking parts off of it.

if you did the orange version, you'd be right in style with the Ford/Harley editions.

Hmmmm, I wonder if a Harleys Comet (GT) would be an idea... One could use the emblems and graphics... naaahhh.

What about a Sprint Stallion Grabber? May actually not look bad. Make it black with the "sprint" stripes in the red. And then add grabber hood. Small bumpers. Maybe like a side stripe on the side as well.......just throwing out some ideas.:16suspect

If I found the pot 'o gold... I like this one. Seems to me I remember a color called Grabber orange.

    DSCF5536s.JPG

I wouldn't orange out the bumper. I would black out the tail panel.

White interior. Torque thrust D wheels. Lower it just about 1 inch.
Grabber stripes.... 6 in a row with that classicinlines head and efi.
Top loader, air locker and AC. Last june it hit 117 here.

I voted Sprint, but that's only because I have had a Grabber and don't like big bumpers so the stallion would have to be a small bumper swap and I really like to keep special cars as stock as possible. I love Dan's Stallion with the small bumpers and Grabber hood and spoiler but then it's really not an original Stallion (it's better in my opinion but not original) My son has been bit hard by the Sprint/Stallion bug and even though he is only 10 years old now I really think he is going to stick to wanting his first car to be a Stallion or a Sprint Clone.

I struggled with the same thing.
However I don't see these cars getting so outragously valueable that every nut and bolt should be stock.
If you think about it, the era in which they were built sucked anyway (early-mid 70s), so the cars weren't much to pine after in stock form.

To me, cars from this time are at their best when built the way we wished Ford would have made them.

I am not too hip with 2v carb, 3 on the tree, and the paint scheme in general on the Sprint. I like the color combo, but not the way it is layed out.
So mine is getting/got 4 on the floor, 4v carb, and I am going to use the Sprint colors in a Grabber layout. Of course it will have the Grabber hood, spoiler, sportlamps too to complete the look.
IMO Ford shoulda made them that way, and probably would have if not for changing laws, gas crunch, and insurance issues with powerful engines.

    My .02

Fwiw, I have and will keep every nut, bolt, and part I take off my Sprint when modding to hedge any possible change in attitudes. However I don't think I will see a concours trend for any Mav in my lifetime.
Even Dan, who has the most concours oriented car I know of, has made a great number of sly mods to his car making it better than new, while looking perfectly stock.
