On Saturday, September 29th, the North Central Florida Mustang Club, a newly formed MCA Regional club which I am a charter member, is having it's first ever All Ford Car and Truck show at Inverness, Florida at Nick Nicholas Ford. It is approx. 3 hours south of the Ga. border straight down I-75 and about an hour from Orlando and the Tampa area.

It would be great to have some Mavericks and Comets show up. If you are not booked already, please try to attend. Call Ron Bringle at (352)489-0654 or email him at nor13b@aol.com

The show is this Saturday. Anybody coming? I can add a Mav/Comet class if enough are coming.

What a bummer, we're still waiting on getting her home from body shop after she was rear-ended. Should have her this week, but can't drive her until DMV inspects and paperwork received from insurance company. I hope you get a good response. Enjoy!

Well, I am home from the show and what a first show it turned out to be!

We were hoping for 80-100 cars and over 150 showed up. Thanks, J Miller and your buddy for showing up! Your cars looked great and it was nice meeting both of you.

I won my class in my '73 Stang conv so life is good in my house! Great first show for a new club, if I must say so. Maybe next year we can have a Maverick class

Great show Jim. It was good meeting you. Thanks for the invite. I also won in my class which I think was 68-79 Fords. BTW Do they send the trophies through the mail? I had my picture taken with my car but nobody said anything else so I just left.

    Ken,

Congrats on the win! Looks like others appreciate a nice looking Maverick, too!! You have a great looking Grabber.

PM me with your mailing address and I wiil make sure you get your personalized trophy. I talked to Ron Bringle(who is in charge of the trophies) today. He is waiting for the photos to be printed, which should be today, and will be assembling them for shipment. I am sure you will be happy with it. Give me some feedback and maybe even take a photo of it for the people here to see. Ron has put a lot of thought and effort in the trophies.

Thanks again for coming! Our total number was 159 cars!!

Not trying to hijack the tread, but Hey Florida guys, any cruise nights or paces in the Orlando area with car stuff next week? I will be working there for the next 10 days and just wanted to see some car stuff if possible.

Old Town is great. A couple of the members here frequent it most weekends.

Our statewide Cougar club, the Sunshine State Cougar Club, is a featured club each October. This year it is the 27th and they will lead the cruise. The cruise is awesome, like going through a wall of people on both sides. I had the good fortune to lead the cruise last year in my black '69.

Go there if you have time. Also, go to Floridacarshows.com. A friend of mine, Barry Margolis, started this site a couple of years ago to list all the shows running in Florida.

Great. I'll have Saturday night free so I'll be there. The TV here shows a lot of things to do, so I will try and get there early. Any suggestions on what time is best?

    Hey Bob,

Old Town is a good time. Alot of things to do. Saturday night is the best because its pre 72 cars. I'm on 24 hr. call for work this weekend but if your gonna be there I'll try to show up to meet you. Whats the best time you ask? It depends on what all you want to do or see. When we go Jason Miller and I try to be there around 4 o'clock. I'll contact Jason so let us know if your coming.
