About a month ago, I was contacted by Dan Kuhn an area Maverick owner about this all Ford show. It was being put on by the Gateway Falcon Club and they didn't have a Maverick/Comet class. They informed him that if he could get 6 cars to the show they would add a class. Well we were class JJ. The Falcon Club was impressed when 7 Mavericks entered the show and even gave recognition in the awards ceremony. Other than 86 and later Mustangs, we had the most entries in class. Next year I think we can get 10 or more there. Weather was great, visited with old friends and made some new ones. And everyone left with a trophy.
Now thats a sight that will get a man excited. Wish you guys were closer to New Mexico. I would get my car ready. That baby blue 4dr is the same color as my 76 2dr. My wife likes it, but I want it back to factory silver.
Cool deal Allan, we deserve to be acknowledged as a car worthy of a class of its own, maybe if more shows would do that more Maverickers and Cometeers would show up. The last show I attended I got stuck with the Torinos and Fairlanes and Falcons
I agree if more shows would offer a Mav. class people would break them out. Up here we even have trouble getting Fords to show except the Fords on the River Show!!! Great All "FORD" Show!!
it was neat seeing all the maverick's at the show and ask question's . and seeing all that has been done to them i was sad mine was not ready to go but now it will get a fire under my a$$ to get it done
cool theres a group of maverick guys slowly building up around here theres like 5-6 guys who try to bring em to the cruises. maybe next year we'll try to get all together at the same time lined up like that
