The paint is not flat black spray, but a texture. I am using it as a primer, temp fix. I did have it just rattle can flat black and then primer. The other night I came up with the stoner idea of a texture to be different. I did it half ass to get an idea. I have since started sanding the texture away. It really helps for prep work. It makes a durable base coat. With the texture I can feel every place I have missed sanding. It's worked out good, so far. Until I decide on a color and get some other goodies, I guess it works :D

The door panels are 1971 but it looks like someone installed 1973 or later rear seat and quarter covers...it can be a killer ride regardless. I get a rush every time i mash the go pedal on mine

The rear seat and area are identical to my 72. My 72 is still original back there

Where are the fire wall to shock tower supports? With out them, won't you have a problem especially with a V8?

I don't know much on the interior. The guy before me redid it and swapped out a few parts here and there. I think he said the front seats were from an 85 stang, if that says anything.

As for the shock braces, I have some sitting in a box for it. From MPG. I have been going at the suspension bit by bit. I already did the PST front end kit, and I have the rear sway bar and KYB shocks ready to go on this week or weekend :D Disk brakes and subframes are on the way...

When I started getting up in power and traction 49/51 on our cars you know..I had to re do the rear shock mounts...replaced with a piece of pipe frm frame to frame...while I was at it I relocated the shocks to te rear ot the axle and used Smaker bars...even MORE traction under acceleration...WEEEE

i have the support braces from mpg on my maverick. if they are the same ones, actually for an early model mustang, then you'll need to shorten them up. don't take more than 3/4 inch off of each end. actually measure twice, cut once. on mine the one end was tapped all the way through but the left hand thread on the other end had to be retapped. i believe it was a 3/8 24 left hand thread. had a nut and bolt shop order one for me. was about $10. i also removed the nuts as turning the braces will tighten it all up. it does make a nice installation. the only other thing was that the mount at the cowl has 4 bolt holes. 2 line up and 2 have to be drilled. i think you'll be happy with them. i am. :)
