Yep I picked it up yesterday!!! I went through the whole thing and only found rust in the rear passanger side quarter panel. We got it home and the breaks sezed on us and the drivers side door will not open. That is all fine and dandy, I was going to replace the brakes anyways and I was going to put auto locks on it anyways. One question though, the car has a radio delete..... is that common? I will post pictures later today!!!

Not real common. Most had AM radios. I like radio deletes cause there's no antenna hole in the fender. I hate antennas. My 71 did not come with a radio.

The anntenna is a dealer install, they did that so in transfer to the dealers there was no damage done to the cars. I have seen a lot of Ford cars with radio delete that still had the anntenna, someone wasn't using there brain. LOL (just a little peace of Ford trivia) I have an anntenna but no speakers, no radio, no wiring, no speaker holes. I was just wondering if it was common or not. Thanks Mavaholic!!! I really didn't sleep last night I was so excited about my new kid!!! LOL

Way to go Shelby...another Mav saved. I pesonally like that paint scheme. Are you going to try and save it or is it beyond hope?
On the subject of antennae's, if I ever need a fighing pole I can always use mine...its about 6 ft. long, came from the factory like that:D
    Good Luck(y)

Is this resto going to be a monthly update in the magazine? That would be great publicity for the cause.

    Congrats man!!

Now roll up your sleeves and get ready to turn it into a beast. I too like that paint scheme, and plan to do mine like that one day. I'll just make the stripes narrower. Good luck, and don't neglect all of the information that is available here. Not necessarily from me, but from all of the others on this site. They know their stuff.

Now me.............I'm learning every time I pop the hood!

Yep, buy or renew your subcriptions now to Mustangs and Fords magazine because this is the new YO-club project car!! It is going to be a low budget resto mod for the first year and then we are going wild come 2005. Right now I am thinking of painting the car Mineral Gray with Semi-gloss Black accents. Of course I have changed the color scheme five times since I first saw the car.... We will see what it ends up being though. I like the Grabber Blue but personally I wanted something a little different!! Since we are not going stock at all on this beast I figured why keep the paint stock..... There is SSSSSOOOO much to do, I wish I was playing with it right now!!! :bananaman :bananaman :bananaman This deserves at least three banana men!!! LOL
