Two for less than $150 and a digital for $300: http://www.performancebodies.com/2002 catalog/longacre/gauges.html#caster/camber http://www.performancebodies.com/2002 catalog/intercomp/set-up.html#102010
cool I'll probly buy one now that's a great price. I have also had bad luck with so called alignment shops, the old stuff just baffles them. They never settle the suspension after making changes. I got the maverick back with 3/8" toe out needless to say it didn't track very well until I fixed it.
Yeah, a lot of places "forget" that the specs on our old cars are for bias ply tires instead of the radials we have nowadays. I like to use a more positive caster setting than originally specified.
toe scribes I havent used toe scribes since the early 80's...today this LOOKS archaic..BUT its just a little more effort but accurate
I set up "strings"along side the car after I found the exact chassis center line. That way I could adjust the rear end for equal toe on each side and very close to 0 deg thrust angle. Then I use the 'strings" to set front toe. I also have a big caliper-type gage for quicky front toe checks. Of course the bulges in radial tire sidewalls give some strange readings sometimes.
