anybody ever seen an original maverick warranty card?

Found mine in my 72 four door the other day. Had a metal vin tag attached to a card with the original owners info.. Anybody seen one with their car? Might have to get a picture of it tomorrow. And also, how rare is the original owners manual? Cause my car has it too..

I've seen a few of the vin cards over the years but they are pretty rare. The owners manuals are pretty easy to come by though.

 

Owners manuals aren't rare. My dad has the Warranty Card for his car, as well as the window sticker and everything else. Most people don't have them, I don't have the one for my car.

 

I have all my stuff from when I bought my car new.

 

I've seen lots of cars for sale on eBay with warranty cards ... and I'm sure lots of folks here have them. Mine was long gone when I got my car so I had Marti Auto reproduce one for me .. not 100% like original but close enough.

 

From what I have seen ... the original vinyl holder with the warranty card pouch is very hard to find. I had to buy a complete setup (holder, manuals, warranty card and all the other original paperwork) of of eBay just to get the holder.

 

I've got all that same stuff, the HELP sign is falling apart, though.

 

Yep...that sign and an empty can on a busy corner. Never know...might be very profitable!

 

I just bought a 72 Grabber in nice condition. After we signed the title, loaded the car on the trailer and were getting ready to leave, the guy said, "Oh, wait my wife found this stuff with the title if you want it". It was the original plastic pouch holder with metal plate with all the info, original window sticker, warrenty card, how to start your car document, owners manual, emissions booklet, original finance documents, maint. records, and more...Gee, I was amazed...

 

It seems like most original owners keep up with all or most of the paperwork and manuals that come with a new car. Then as a car is sold or traded, dealers and detailers seem to not want the next owner to know where a car came from or who the original or past owners are. That's one thing I always look for when I purchase a used car....if it's not there I ask a bunch of questions, and if they can't answer them to my satisfaction, I move on. i have bought 20-30 year old worn out rust buckets and found everything back to the original window sticker, and have bought 1-2 year old vehicles without any paperwork. My guess is that is just a matter of luck of finding any paperwork at all...

 

I'm the third owner of my '73 4door (Distant family bought it new, then my grandfather purchased it then left on to me) and i still have the original warranty card, owner's manual, & vehicle 'stopping ability' sheet for my car. i just don't have the build sheet

 

I have the folder, warrenty card , mav owner manuel , the plastic emergency key

I am the third owner of my Sprint and to my surprise all the paperwork folders etc where still clipped under the seat.....

 

My light green 75 mav has all of the original paperwork with it,my comet has the owners manual.Both my '67 Galaxies have all the original paperwork with them.
