New member as of today. A car nut for 50 some years and decided to go back to the older rides. Today I bought a 73 maverick 2 door, 55,000 original miles, 302, P/S, factory air, bucket seats, colum shift auto, actually owned by that little old lady, interior mint, no rips, tears, or stains, original paint, no rust, one very small crease lower side of drivers rear fender, runs and drives great. Will post pictures in a few days, would I be better to keep as stock, or rod it a bit? Thks, Don
The general feeling around here is that Mavericks were never special enough under the hood to worry about keeping them bone stock. Unlike some other high end collector cars, Mavericks tend to be more valuable when tastefully and properly modified... As opposed to bone stock.
yea i agree with 411's post. giving it a little extra ballz under the hood and keeping it looking cool wont hurt anything
Welcome to the board. The nice thing about Mavericks is that you can do anything your little ole' heart desires with them.
Refer to this post in a couple of years and you will know if you made the right decision. Most of us on here are addicted to our Mavs. In two years you will know what I mean. Welcome to the family!
to the board.....Email me & we'll get together. I live just south of Seattle. Would love to see the car.....I rodded mine a bit....Do what ever you want.....
Welcome to the Madness! Old cars are addictive, as you will soon see. Looks like you have a very nice original car. However, it is YOUR car and you have the right and privilege to do with it as you wish. After all, it was your hard earned money that paid for it. Keep it original if you wish, or change it to suit yourself. Unless you bought it to resell for a profit, you are the only that needs to be pleased. Enjoy! Jim
