what would you do to "A" maverick or comet?
    i mean money aside...
would you put in IRS from a 99 cobra?
mustang II front end with rack and pinion?
    cougar seq tail lights?
    sun roof?
    spoiler front/rear?
    tubbed with nice drag radials?
    narrowed rear?
    turbo? blower? n2o?
big block? small block? v6 turbo?
    what would you do?

i am thinking of tricking out a maverick and making it awesome. not just a drag car, but all around handle and corner, speed, acceleration, looks, sound, everything. just wondering what you would do...

Mustang II front end was the best thing I have done to mine. If I got another Maverick it would be the first thing I would do to it - even if I was only going to run a 302. From there you can do just about anything for engine.

If I could do anything I'd pay Foose to build the car of my dreams.

The possibilities are endless. It mostly depends on what kind of money you are ready to invest in a car. I'd suggest checking out lots of the cars on this board and lots of reading. Put some ideas together and go for it! Don't pay any attention to that Foose comment. Mavaholic is just getting old and lazy. No fun if somebody else builds it for you. :)

My aspirations are on a much less grand sacale. I'd like to get a mild cam, 4V intake, a done at home paint job and have a car my wife would want, not have, to drive. (Instead of her 4 runner)

I'm doing it right now, and I have my wife reminding me everyday not to spend any more money on my car, and I keep reminding her that I have another one to finish when this one is done.

id put a mildly built 302 in it with a posi rear end then use the rest of the money for gas...:)

or maybe some kind of conversion for a 572 with the stock rear end just for kicks..

Tubbed out, Mustang II front, fuel injected, blown, and stroked Boss 429, 5 speed manual, Shelby tail panel like Ray's car, Grabber spoiler, front chin spoiler, polished billet grille, black with blue flames coming back, torque thrust II style wheels. Interior I would leave mostly stock, black or red with high back buckets and such. And since I have unlimited money, I would drive it daily. And go buy my dad's old Comet back.

Subframe connectors, swaybars front and rear the size of my wrists. Pinto rack with tight-ratio steering gear. Eibach or similar progressive-rate front coils with some bitchin' shocks. Coil spring conversion for the rear with torque arm, trailing arms and panhard bar. Posi of course. Low gears and a T5 or AOD to compensate. Fat tires all around.

But right now I'd settle for better exhaust, a Grabber hood and paint.

Oh, and air conditioning. That's a big one.
