So I drove the bastard 54 miles (got a bit lost) on streets to the race in Fontana to shake down the car. The first past on Saturday I ran an easy 7.32 to the 8th (1.72 60 ft, shifting at 6,000) to get used to it and to make sure nothing would fall off. On Saturday we dropped the tire pressure to see if we could get it to 60 ft better and I planned on shifting it at 7,000 (which I still shifted it before the light came on, go figure). Both passes were done on motor.

Here's the video. I ended up lining up against Lonnie Patrick, which made my car look like a turd (pun intended).

    Here are the incrementals.

    60 ft: 1.64
    330ft: 4.65
    8th: 7.17 @ 97 mph
1000: 9.37 (lifted just before marker)
    1/4: 11.50 @ 97.99 mph

60' is pretty good. 7.17 in te 1/8 at 97is good. what happened at the top end? 11.50 at 98. 11.90's with mine the top end was 115. what do you think yours would have done. i just saw that you lifted. i figured you did. nice looking car. maybe we'll get a chance to see you somewhere this year.

    Thanks,

Yeah, that was the second pass on the car so I was taking it easy, plus it doesn't have a cage yet. I short shifted it and lifted at 1000 feet. It would've ran 11.15 at 118 mph if I would've stayed in it (according to the Moroso Slide-a-Rule). I think it would've ran 11 "ohs" if I would've shifted at 7800 where the motor likes it. The goal is 10.99 on motor, which I feel is possible with a better 60 ft.

When are you going to finish the 6 things you wanted to fix?

Well I wrote that three months ago, so some of those things have been fixed, thank god.

    6. Although I said I was getting Cal Tracs, I got impatient and put some slapper bars on it until I squeeze it. It has Calvert Split-Mono leafs so it launched good anyway.

    5. The 8-inch rear is still there, mocking me, so that is one thing I hope to do away with soon.

    4. Still no cage either, that's mainly why I lifted.

    3. The front end travel will be something I'll play with when it's on the bottle.

    2. The brake lights have been hooked up (I ended up splicing the hydraulic brake switch in between the brake distribution block on the rear end). The headlights and brake lights have yet to be wired.

    1. The massive oil leak has been reduced to a dribble, not enough to make a big mess, but annoying regardless.

Thanks for asking. Sometimes I forget anyone reads my stuff.

Yes, on the engine dyno it made 519 at 7600. On the bottle it made 656.

No, a paint job is not on the list, I'm keeping it brown. When the car gets quicker I plan on putting carbon cowl hood on it and a black powedercoated rear spoiler (which I have from the other car). Also I was going to put black grabber stripes down the sides, so when it's finished it should be brown and black.....or I'll just save the money and keep it stock looking...I'm not sure yet.

That thing looks great. Nice times too! What size are your rear tires?

    Best regards,
