Refrigeration Disconnect Info Needed

    I am going to disconnect the refrigeration unit on my Maverick for now so I can deal with other issues. Since this system is supposed to be pressurized, what steps do I neet to follow before disconnecting the hoses?

    Legaly you need to have the system evacuated. People have been known the simply disconect the hoses and let the system discharge into the atmosphere (with it off, pressures usually under 100 psi), but the EPA says thats enviromentaly irresponsible.

    i just hold the valve stem looking things open with a screwdriver.

    or you could do it the right way and have it professionally drained or get the supplies yourself and drain it into a canister or whatever they use.
