Official Press Release Hi Everyone, The official press release for the Charity Drive was issued today. Check it out below...and yes there are some left, but not as many as you guys have been counting off. Keep up the great work. Robert CNUSA PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Tiger Wheels, Inc. introduces the “Foster A Dream™ Charity Car” CONTACT INFO: Lori Cohee, Foster A Dream, Inc. 707.747.0100 Robert Avila, Collector’s NetUSA 817.226.0444 Tiger Wheels, Inc., and Foster A Dream, Inc., proudly announce the Foster A Dream Custom Ford Maverick Grabber charity car from Tiger Wheels. It is painted Grabber blue with black stripes and comes with racing mag wheels and rubber tires. It is limited to 500 pieces and comes enclosed on all new blistercard packaging. Solidly constructed in true Tiger Wheels fashion, the Maverick again typifies the slogan that "there's nothing like the feel of a Tiger Wheel." Shipping is included in the price. Payment methods available are major credit cards through PayPal, and check and money order made out to Foster A Dream. Tiger Wheels will donate 50% of the proceeds to Foster A Dream. The other 50% will be used to pay for the cost of producing the cars, a portion of the shipping, and the overall administration of the charity drive. The car is sheduled to ship late January 2004. There are over 500,000 children in the United States who have been removed from their homes due to neglect and abuse, and placed in the foster care system. These children have had their confidence and self-worth destroyed, and even more devastating, have experienced the loss of family and identity, leaving them searching for a sense of belonging. Foster A Dream, Inc., is a non-profit organization with a mission to build a brighter tomorrow for today's foster youth. Their primary focus is to decrease the amount of youth who engage in destructive behaviors, drop out of high school or end up homeless after exiting the foster care system. Tiger Wheels through this charity drive is proud to support such a unique and noble cause. In addition to supporting a noble cause, Tiger Wheels is funding this charity drive in memory and on behalf of Roy Hare of Claremore, Oklahoma. In Tulsa and thereabouts, Roy was the man to go see with the latest hot die-cast cars and other collectibles. If it was out there, Roy was pounding the pavement to get them to you, in between running a farm, and spoiling grandma and the grandchildren. He could fix just about everything and is dearly missed.
Robert, Thanks for the update and please send our condolences to the Roy Hare family. We applaude and appreciate his efforts. -Rick
