Well my Comet and T-Bird are being delivered tomorrow at noon.
Rescued from the Northern hinterlands and saved from that nasty devil called the RustBeast.
I just couldn't bring myself to drive up there to get them:p
I'll get some pics tomorrow and post them soon.
The T-bird will be next in the work bay and has to be finished by the end of April...my wifes B'day.
The Comet has to be done by this time next year...my daughters 18th B'day.
I don't think the Mav will ever really be done....as upgrades and mods are always in the works:clap:

O.K. Their here...The T-Bird is amazing..it actually cranked and ran with the nastiest smellin gas I ever smelled...smells like tupentine.
Their is a factory installed 8-track tape player under the passengers seat still in the plastic wrap. Every option on the car works, not a single hole in the vinyl top, all lights work except the hood mount turnsignal indicator. It is gonna require a moderate amount of bodywork...but not as much as I expected. Its gonna be a time consuming but fun project.
The Comet I havn't got into much...the interior is clean as is the engine compartment...the lower rear quarters are gonna have to be replaced and possibly both front doors..not sure yet...here are a couple of pics.

I'll give ya 50% of what you paid for the T'bird. You know cars are a poor investment. I'm just trying to be helpful. OK, 55%

I redid one of those style birds a couple years ago. Was a rusty mess, turned out pretty slick though. Yours looks like a nice car to begin with. In fact both the cars look good for fixin up.
    Good luck!

Well the Comet is runnin now after sittin up for 2 years.
Drained the tank, changed the oil, lubed the valve stems, cleaned the carb and linkage and pulling whats left of my hair out the rest of the day finding an ignition wire broken in the wiring harness...she's purrin like a kitten...gonna take her for a spin in the morning and see how she shifts out.
The entire underside of the car has been rustcoated and is virtually rust free.
The rear quarters are gonna need patch panels down low and it may need new doors...I'm not sure I can save them.
The interior of the car is nearly perfect...well taken care of.

Next up...draining that turpentine out of the T-Bird and feed the chicken some HIGH octane...hehe

    Pics to come

What kind of truck pulled the trailer that hauled in your cars? That looks like a long trailer for only having tandem axles. Just curious. Russ

It was a...ahem..er..Cheby with a fifth wheel, dually, diesel..he was out of Connect-to-cut...if I ever need another brought down...I'll definetly use this guy...called every step of the way to let me know what was going on and was very reasonable.
